THE FOUNDER
Gyzellah, MOGI MOUSSE™'s sole creator, has developed this exceptional gender neutral skin care line out of simple necessity and as an answer to her life long search for products that would not only address her issues with eczema and extremely sensitive skin, but also her desire to only use organic and cruelty-free products.
Having spent the better part of her childhood in and out of dermatologists offices being prescribed all sorts of treatments for her eczema skin condition, Gyzellah began searching for alternatives. Her search, along with the aid of the African community she grew up around, brought her to the raw African Shea Butter. Gyzellah found great relief in this pure and raw product.
But as she grew older and her skin started to change, as with most of us, she felt she needed something more. Working several years as a model, singer and in nightlife Gyzellah's skin was thirsting not only for moisture but also for skin care that could rejuvenate, maintain elasticity and offer lasting results.
Through the years she continuously invested in high end, high priced creams that never showed any real results and more disturbingly were filled with ingredients that no one could actually identify. The frustration of foreign, overpriced and ineffective products lead Gyzellah to her kitchen and her books of natural raw elements.
THE STORY
Gyzellah developed a skincare that made her skin feel and look amazing. Everything that went into her products had a place in nature, not a chemical plant.
This was supposed to be the end of the story for Gyzellah, but to her surprise and amazement, within the the first two weeks friends began inquiring. "Your skin is glowing these days?" Gyzellah explained she made herself a little "something" for her skin. Now each friend demanded samples! Gyzellah started making larger and larger batches and before she knew it, she was distributing to an entire community of friends and friends of friends.
"I knew I had something special when friends of friends that I had never met from outside of New York City started reaching out and offering to pay for my cream, I haven't been able to make it fast enough since I've started! It makes me happy that I can help others with their skin issues." said Gyzellah when asked about MOGI MOUSSE™'s quickly rising popularity.
The only thing left to do, since so many people not only wanted to use the cream but were eager to pay for it, was to give it a name and start a company. Gyzellah's childhood nickname was "Mo" and her friends also affectionately refer to her as "G". She brought her two names together and "MOGI" it was! Since her products have a buttery consistency and such a rich feel to them, "MOUSSE" came to mind and her skincare recipe had its name MOGI MOUSSE™!

ALMOND
Prunus dulcis (Sweet Almond) — The almond tree originated in southwest Asia and the Middle East, as far as the Indus River in Pakistan. It is a mild, hypoallergenic oil, which makes it safe for sensitive skin, including baby skin. This oil contains a large amount antioxidants, and is known for protecting skin against UV radiation damage and keeping skin soft and supple. It can be used to gently dislodge debris from deep within skin pores and follicles, and helps to prevent acne because of its vitamin E content. Sweet almond oil is a natural remedy for eczemaand psoriasis.
ARGAN
Argania spinosa (Argan) — Argan Oil is produced from the seeds of this plant, and it is considered to be one of the rarest oils in the world due to the small and very specific areas in which it is grown in Morocco, North Africa. This oil is rich on vitamin A and vitamin E, and packed with anti-oxidants, Omega-6 fatty acids, and linoleic acid. This oil supports the hydration of the skin and helps to soften it, thereby minimizing the appearance of fine lines. It can also be used used to improve the texture of acne-prone skin, helping it to maintain a youthful, glowing appearance. Argan oil is highly beneficial for hair and scalp. It helps to neutralize hair damage, provides the moisture it needs to help prevent hair damage, splitting, and breakage. It helps to add shine to hair, eliminate frizz, and fight dandruff.
CANE SUGAR
Sugarcane — It is indigenous to tropical parts of South and Southeast Asia. Different species likely originated in different locations, like India and New Guinea. Alpha hydroxy acid found in sugar cane is good for your skin. It has anti-aging properties, moisturizes the skin and prevents acne. Sugar is a natural humectant, which means it draws moisture from the environment and locks it into the skin. It leaves skin radiant and smooth.
CASTOR OIL
Ricinus communis (Castor) Oil — The Castor Oil Plant, also known as Castorbean, is indigenous to the southeastern Mediterranean region, Eastern Africa, and India. Castor oil is a vegetable oil obtained by pressing the seeds of the plant. It has natural antibacterial and anti-fungal properties and is high in Vitamin E, minerals, proteins, and Omega 6 and 9 beneficial fatty acids. It’s unusually high ricinoleic acid ratio makes it beneficial to skin and hair by restoring the skin's natural moisture balance, reducing acne and the growth of bacteria. This oil is highly appropriate for sensitive skin, doesn’t clog pores, prevents the development of blackheads, softens skin, restores uneven skin tones, and promotes the growth of healthy skin tissue.
CHAMOMILE
Anthemis nobilis L (Chamomile Roman) — Roman chamomile has it's origin in northwestern Europe and Northern Ireland. Roman chamomile essential oil is widely celebrated for its anti-inflammatory properties. It also has anti-septic, antidepressant, antibiotic, tonic, bactericidal, and anti-infectious effect. It can help calm or treat acne, rashes, eczema, wounds, dermatitis, and dry and itchy skin.
CARROT SEED
Daucus carota (Carrot Seed) — Carrot is native to Europe and southwestern Asia. Carrot seed oil is known to have antiseptic, anti-parasitic, and detoxifying properties. Carrot Seed oil aids in healing abscesses, boils, and other skin disorders. It nourishes, tightens, and rejuvenates the skin.

Cocos nucifera (Coconut Oil) — The coconut palm tree's natural habitat are the tropics and subtropics. Virgin coconut oil contains three essential fatty acids, capric, caprylic and lauric acid, that possess disinfectant and antimicrobial properties, helping to protect against as well as heal microbial infections. Lauric acid is a powerful virus and bacteria destroyer, and coconut oil contains the most lauric acid of any substance on Earth. Callitris intratropica (Cypress Australian Blue) — Cypress is a slow-growing tree native to Australia. Cypress essential oil helps to soothe broken skin and varicose veins. Pelargonium graveolens (Geranium Egypt) — Geranium flowers originated in South Africa, Madagascar, Egypt and Morocco. Geranium oil also functions to assist in pain reduction and inflammation. Vitis vinifera (Grape Seed) — Grape vine is native to the Mediterranean region, central Europe, and southwestern Asia, from Morocco and Portugal north to southern Germany and east to northern Iran. Grape seed oil is rich on powerful antioxidants and natural plant compounds called oligomeric proanthocyanidin complexes. These compounds demonstrate antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergic actions. Psidium guajava (Guava Fruit) Extract — Guava has it's origin in Mexico and Central America and is distributed throughout tropical America and the Caribbean. Cannabis sativa (Hemp Seed) — Cannabis plants are believed to have evolved on the steppes of Central Asia, specifically in the regions that are now Mongolia and southern Siberia. PAPAYA
Carica papaya (Papaya Fruit) Extract — Papaya is native to the tropical region of America, mainly southern Mexico and Central America. Papaya fruit extract is a beneficial source of antioxidant Vitamin C, Vitamin E and carotenoids, like beta-carotene and lycopene. The high levels of these valuable nutrients can help protect your skin against free radicals known to cause damage that leads to wrinkles. This fruit extract clears blemishes and pigmentation, exfoliates and dissolves dead skin cells, nourishes and softens skin, rejuvenates, hydrates, moisturizes, brightens skin, repairs cracked skin, treats acne and pimples, soothes sensitive skin, and additionally conditions hair and controls dandruff.
PEPPERMINT
Mentha arvensis (Peppermint Japanese) Oil — The Japanese mint plant is native to the temperate regions of Europe and western and central Asia, east to the Himalaya, eastern Siberia, and North America. It is known for its high menthol content up to 95%. The oil is removed from the parts that grow above the ground and used to make medicine. The oil is applied directly to the skin for muscle pain, nerve pain, itchiness, hives, and has a cooling effect. Other uses include treatment of fever, pain, spasms, headaches, toothaches, cramps, earache, tumors, sores, cancer, heart problems, breathing difficulties, tendency toward infection, and can also be used as a stimulant, a germ-killer, or a pain-killer. Peppermint oil is mildly antiseptic and helps purify the skin.
PUMPKIN SEED
Cucurbita pepo L (Pumpkin Seed) Oil — Pumpkins are believed to have originated in Central America over 7,500 years ago. Indigenous North Americans have grown pumpkins for thousands of years, even before the cultivation of beans and corn. Pumpkin seed oil contains massive amounts of fatty acids, vitamins, proteins, dietary fibers, and minerals. The amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants allow this oil to help maintain normal cell structure and retain moisture in skin as well as scalp and hair. This highly moisturizing oil improves skin tone, and assists in fighting acne. The high amounts of zinc and vitamin E help with skin renewal, which include helping wounds heal quicker.

RHASSOUL CLAY
Rhassoul Clay is mined in the fertile Atlas Mountains of Morocco, North Africa. Rhassoul Clay's most impressive properties in skin improvement are its capacity of absorption due to its high level of ions exchange. It reduces dryness and flakiness, improves skin clarity and elasticity. It is rich in magnesium, Silica, potassium and calcium.
ROSEMARY
Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) — Rosemary is native to the Mediterranean region. Rosemary antioxidant has anti-bacterial, anti-cancer, anti-fungal, anti-infection, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. The astringent properties of rosemary oil make it beneficial for the skin. SANDALWOOD

Raw, pure and cold pressed Shea butter is rich on stearic, oleic acids, palmitic acid, linoleic acid, vitamin A and vitamin E, which make it a very powerful natural moisturizer.
